Meeting of the Cultural Property Advisory Committee
A meeting of the Cultural Property Advisory Committee has been scheduled for November 15-17, 2011. During the meeting, the Committee will begin its consideration of two new requests from the governments of Belize and Bulgaria, made under Article 9 of the 1970 UNESCO Convention, for import restrictions on certain categories of cultural materials. A summary of each request may be found through the links on this page. An open session will be held on November 16, from 9 AM to 12 noon, when oral public comment will be heard. The notice of the meeting published in the Federal Register provides full information on how to submit written and oral comments to the Committee, and how to arrange to attend the open session.
