Colorado antiquities dealer gets probation for looting American Indian artifacts

SALT LAKE CITY undefined A federal judge has sentenced a Colorado antiquities dealer and his wife to probation as part of an investigation into the looting of American Indian artifacts.

Seventy-six-year-old Carl L. Crites has been ordered to serve three years of probation, with credit for two years already served.

Crites apologized Thursday for the harm he caused during a hearing in federal court in Salt Lake City.
