UNESCO adopts document on protection of cultural property in occupied lands

The UNESCO Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict has adopted a document on the protection of cultural property in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

The document was adopted on 21 December at the seventh session of the committee at the initiative of Azerbaijan, according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The decision reflected the obligation of the occupant country to report on the protection of cultural property in the occupied territories, and provide the ability to send technical missions to the occupied territories.
