CHENNAI: Idol wing CID sleuths have sent the letters rogatory to the US immigration and customs enforcement ( ICE) division of the department of homeland security in the United States through Interpol.

The CID has requested assistance in the form of a questionnaire on idols seized by the department from the museum of antique dealer Subhash Chandra Kapoor in Manhattan, New York. The CID plans to send similar letters rogatory to Singapore, the UK and Australia and other countries in which Kapoor had sold antique idols investigators believe were stolen from temples in Tamil Nadu.
