Education

Education is central to the mission of the Lawyers' Committee. We  actively work to inform the public about cultural heritage issues, raise the profile of cultural heritage law in our nation’s  schools, and serve as a clearinghouse for employment and internship opportunities for law students. Law School Survey

The Lawyers' Committee has compiled an extensive list of course offerings in cultural heritage law, which we intend to provide a primary resource for law students, those who are thinking of attending law school, and others who are interested in determining the extent and nature of the teaching of cultural heritage law in law schools today.

Guide to Internships and Externships

The Lawyers' Committee Guide to Cultural Heritage Preservation Internships and Externships has been updated for 2010. It contains information on numerous summer internship and school-term externship opportunities that are available to law students and recent graduates. In addition, some of these opportunities are also open to undergraduate and graduate students in non-legal programs. While we have done our best to ensure the guide's accuracy  we recommend that users confirm all deadlines and other application procedures, since this information is subject to change.

The database is free to all members of the Lawyers' Committee.
